I was approached by the pastor of Richland Hills Christian Church to create a new logo mainly to be used on social media & as a profile picture for digital sermons uploaded as podcasts. It was requested that I look to use elements from the church itself & the logo for the City of Richland Hills. The full logo consists of type block with a cross. The typography was designed to mimic that of the City of Richland Hills logo with Book Antiqua giving "Richland Hills" a more traditional look & Gotham light turning "Christian Church" into a solid base for which the rest of the logo to sit upon. The cross was designed so that it may be independent from the rest of the logo if need be. The outline & halo convey the holiness of Christ & his light shining through the church. A limited color palette of burgundy, slate gray, & white were used with burgundy being the focal color due to its symbolic importance within the Christian church.
